“Before I met my boyfriend on a dating site, one of the men I was talking to (whom I was unable to meet for reasons that will become clear here) was very focused on whether I was naked at all times. I left it at that, which raised a red flag because I thought maybe he was just being awkward and inexperienced in dating. I told him that his constant focus on being a dog was making me uncomfortable. So instead, upon learning that I had a dog, he just started asking me. “He was always talking about his dog. It was completely innocent at first. “What is your dog doing now?” “Did he get any treats today?” “Do you like cuddling dogs to relax?” Well, I like cuddling dogs, so it wasn’t really a problem, but then he started talking semi-sexually. I started to go back, but the dog was still involved. “Would you hug your dog naked?” Or worse. ”
“I don’t believe in ghosting people as a common practice unless it’s clear that someone is creepy and potentially dangerous. This guy struck me as very creepy. One day he asked me a very inappropriate question about my dog and I never answered and contacted him again. Eventually, he got the message and contacted me. I stopped doing that.”
