It’s time for holiday cooking! This time of year, apples are the perfect ingredient for delicious recipes. We’ve compiled some of our favorite recipes from the Disney Recipe Vault, as well as recipes that have never been shared before. disneyland park I will share it with you today. These recipes include sumptuous (and delicious) desserts, apple butter, and even refreshing cocktails.

Holiday Apple Tarts at Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace at Disneyland Park
This Holiday Apple Tart is a Disneyland Park recipe that we’ve never shared before.meanwhile Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace Although only sold as a dining package, you can now enjoy this recipe at home. A tart filled with rich caramel cream sauce and topped with apple filling and streusel. You can use store-bought shells or your favorite tart recipe. If you have leftovers, they go well with your coffee the next morning.

Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace

Makes 12 tarts
material
streusel
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup packaged brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 3/4 teaspoon powdered cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
apple filling
- 4 large apples
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons water (divided)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
caramel cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 6 tablespoons salted butter, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1 teaspoon sea salt

- 6 (3 inch) vanilla tart shells

For streusel:
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed butter and use a pastry blender or two knives to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse grit.
- Set aside until ready to assemble the tart.
For the apple filling:
- Peel, core, and cut apples into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, 3 tablespoons water, and chopped apple. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples begin to soften, 4 to 6 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water in a small bowl. Add to apple mixture and cook until liquid begins to boil.
- Boil for 1 minute then remove from heat. Let the tart stand until completely cool before assembling.
For caramel cream:
- Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, swirling the pan, until the sugar has melted and turned a light amber color.
- Carefully fold in the butter, one cube at a time. Remove the saucepan from the heat and slowly add the heavy cream, whisking constantly until thoroughly combined.
- Add salt and let cool to room temperature.
For the holiday apple tart:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place tart shells on a baking sheet.
- Fill each tart shell with 1 tablespoon caramel cream. Add 1/4 cup of chilled apple filling to each tart.
- Top with streusel to cover the apples.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until topping is golden brown.
- Top with holiday sprinkles before serving.
Cook’s Note: Tart shells are available at many specialty food stores. You can also use your favorite homemade puff pastry. Cut the dough into 3 1/2-inch circles and place in the bottom of the muffin tin. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, fill with ingredients, and bake as directed in the recipe.

Warm Apple Butter Cake from Disney Recipe Vault
The next recipe is a delicious warm apple butter cake. An at-home version of this buttery cake topped with caramelized apples makes individual cakes. If you don’t have enough ramekins for this recipe, you can use a large muffin tin.

- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
bourbon caramel glaze
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 tablespoon bourbon
- 1 cup fresh cream

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 8 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups plus 1 teaspoon buttermilk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Dried apple slices for garnish (optional)
Cranberries (for garnish)

For caramelized apples:
- Cut the apple into thin slices.
- Melt the butter in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add apples and sugar.
- Cook until apples are golden brown and soft. Set aside to cool.
For the bourbon caramel glaze:
- Place the brown sugar and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Continue stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Simmer over medium heat, without stirring or touching the pan, until the mixture turns a deep amber color, about 10 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat. Carefully whisk together the bourbon and heavy cream. The mixture will bubble vigorously and very hot steam will be released.
- Pour the caramel into a bowl and let it cool. Set aside.
For cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. 15 ramekins (3/4 cup) with butter and flour. Set aside.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a large bowl.
- In another large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and melted butter until well combined.
- Combine buttermilk and almond extract in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Stir one-third of the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Add half of the buttermilk mixture and stir. Add another third of the flour mixture and the remaining buttermilk mixture. Stir in remaining flour mixture.
- Ladle 1/2 cup cake batter into each prepared ramekin. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
To provide:
- While the cake is still warm, carefully remove it from the ramekin onto a plate.
- Divide the caramelized apples over the cake. Spoon bourbon caramel glaze over apples and cake.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream and garnish with dried apple slices or cranberries if desired.

Apple Tarte Tatin at Topolino’s Terrace – A Taste of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort
The talented culinary team at Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is constantly reimagining desserts, and one of my favorites is this version of Apple Tarte Tatin. A beautiful dessert perfect for any holiday gathering. Apples can be prepared up to 2 days in advance and refrigerated until ready to bake.

Disney’s Riviera Resort
Serves 6 people

- 7 medium Honeycrisp apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 2 pieces of thawed puff pastry
Chantilly
- 1 cup fresh cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 vanilla bean, cut in half and scraped out seeds
- a pinch of salt

For apple tart:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel and core the apples and cut each apple into 9 equal pieces.
- Combine the sugar, water, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a large sauté pan and cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes until golden brown. Add room temperature butter and stir until half of the butter has melted.
- Add apples and cook for 5-7 minutes until soft but still firm. Removed from heat.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and place six 4-inch tart pans on top. Divide the apple mixture evenly between the tart pans, making sure to add the syrup from the saute pan to the tarts.
- Cut the pastry to fit the top of the tart pan and place it on top of the apples. Poke each pie crust 10 times with a fork.
- Place parchment paper on top of the tart, place a sheet pan on top and press the apples and pastry. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Immediately remove the top baking sheet.
For Chantilly:
- Combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla bean, and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Whisk to soft peaks.
- Refrigerate until ready to eat.
To provide:
Transfer the warmed tart to a plate. Enjoy with Shanti.

Disney recipe archive apple butter
Apple butter is one of my favorite garnishes. It’s delicious spread on toast in the morning or eaten with freshly baked bread rolls for holiday meals. This recipe from the Disney Recipe Vault can easily be doubled (or tripled) and makes a great gift for the holiday season.

Makes 1 pint
material
- 6 cups Fuji apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ice wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon clove powder
- 1/4 vanilla bean
direction
- Add apples, juice, brown sugar, and salt to a large saucepan. Boil over medium heat. Cover and reduce heat to low. Continue to simmer for 20 minutes until the apples are soft. Removed from heat.
- Add lemon juice, vinegar, and cloves and mix. Cut the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Add the seeds to the pot.
- Puree with a stick blender until smooth.
- Return the pot to the stove and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until a deep amber color and the apple butter is as thick as you like it.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove excess liquid.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
