There are many myths about sex after marriage. Some people claim that their bedroom is just as stuffy as any other room. Others would confide that it’s a steady descent. But what is the reality?
How does your sex life change after 25 years of marriage? When we asked these couples, they told us the absolute truth. Results: As with any relationship, whether you’re young or a veteran, situations vary.
How often do couples who have been married for over 25 years actually have sex?
1. Some people have sex once or twice a week.
“I’ve been married for 32 years, and we have an intimate relationship once, sometimes twice, a week.”
2. Some people stop having sex altogether due to hormonal changes.
“My husband and I are both in our early 60s, and unfortunately we have zero sex a week, month, etc. We’ve been married for about 26 years, and the first 20-some of us were amazing in the bedroom.
“When menopause came around, I was taking estrogen and things were going well. But studies came out showing that hormone replacement therapy causes a lot of medical problems, and my girlfriend told me to stop. I suggested it. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever done.”
“I also experienced menopausal symptoms and lost all desire and sex became extremely painful. I have been taking creams, pills, patches, etc. to increase my estrogen for years. I tried everything, but nothing worked.My husband is not satisfied, but I quit my job.I am looking forward to my future.

3. Some people have sex on average twice a week.

4. Some people can’t even remember what sex is.
