These are the top five most expensive homes sold in Bay County in August, ranging from $1.84 million to $3.795 million. All rooms offer views of the Gulf of Mexico, St. Andrew Bay, or Beatty Bayou waterfront. Only one of them is not in the Panama City Beach area.
The list was provided by the Central Panhandle Association of Realtors, a local organization that oversees approximately 2,000 real estate agents in Bay, Calhoun, Washington, Holmes and Jackson counties.
13641 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach
Claiming the top spot is this 4,112-square-foot property that sold for an asking price of $3,795,000.
Located along the bay in Margaritaville Beach Cottage Resort, PCB’s fast-growing Jimmy Buffett-themed community, this home features three floors, six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, half It has 1 bathroom, an elevator and a swimming pool. It was built this year.

“Part of the appeal of this (home) is the location,” said Craig Duran, a broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and the listing agent for the property. “Once you enter the waterway at Bay Point, it can take a while to get to some of the homes because it takes time to navigate the canal.
“It’s very close to the front. It’s actually just around the corner from the new marina, so it’s very easy to access. It’s also on the east side of the bridge, so we can accommodate larger boats.” ”

No. 4 on the list was this 4,055-square-foot property, which sold for $2,095,000, $100,000 less than the asking price.

Located along St. Andrew’s Bay in the Dolphin Bay neighborhood, this home features two floors, four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half bathroom, an outdoor kitchen, and a pool. Built in 2005.
“What makes this special is, of course, the waterfront,” said Cindy Burge, broker/owner of Elite Realty and the listing agent for the property. “Not only does it have extensive waterfront, but it also has a private marina slip within the lot.The previous owner, who is now the seller, and the new buyer both have very nice boats. The ability to quickly position the boat within the marina slip was a real selling point.”
For the time being, the buyer of this property plans to use it as a second home, but in the future they plan to move to the area and make it their primary residence.
