Talk of Cowtown, Fort Worth’s new luxury hotel in the heart of the Cultural District, is opening soon.
The Crescent Fort Worth is adjacent to the city’s treasured museums. For John Goff, who created it, it’s personal.
“I like to call this my Fort Worth living room. This is the city that embraced me all those years ago. I didn’t grow up here. I moved here in a U-Haul truck. I came and I didn’t have anything. And, you know, I’m building a great hotel here,” Goff said.
From the light streaming in through the hotel’s large windows to the carefully selected art, every detail has been meticulously thought out by Goff and his family.
Goff says he wanted to create a space that didn’t rival, but complimented, the architecture of nearby museums.
“I spent a lot of time meeting with them and talking about what they wanted. So the design of the property, the height of the lot, how to scale it all down to what they wanted. It’s designed around what we had. That’s very nice,” very important. Our relationship with museums is very important to us,” Goff said.
The Crescent Hotel features 200 guest rooms, two restaurants with cuisine carefully selected by Executive Chefs Preston Payne and Andrew Bell, a sophisticated lobby bar and a rooftop bar.
Canyon Ranch, a destination health and wellness resort, is scheduled to open later this year.
Goff also owns the other Canyon Ranch resort, where people come from all over the world and stay for weeks at a time, he said.
“Theoretically, you could do that here by staying in a room and enjoying the services of Canyon Ranch. It would have to be a membership, or you would have to be a guest of the hotel.”
With adjacent Crescent offices and residents, one of America’s fastest growing metropolises is really starting to feel like one.
“There has been some development, but I think this is really going to create a new evolution for this part of town.”
The Crescent Fort Worth is now accepting reservations The official ribbon cutting will be Wednesday, November 8th at 1:00 p.m.
