Instead of worrying about who’s going to cook the turkey this year, we recommend spending the week before Thanksgiving shopping for early Black Friday fashion sales. Cut Shop authorized retailers like Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, and Outdoor Voices have already launched sales events, so why not get a head start? It’s less stressful than shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, and you have plenty of time to buy items on your wishlist before they sell out.
Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving, and this year it falls on Friday, November 24th.
Expect big discounts from major retailers like Amazon, Target, Nordstrom, Ssense, and Net-a-Porter. Most brands have yet to announce details of their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, but based on past years, we’re looking at Reformation, Everlane, Free People, Urban Outfitters, and Banana Republic.

Net-a-Porter never disappoints when it comes to designer discounts. The retailer typically offers 30% off on hundreds of styles on Black Friday, so get excited. In the meantime, scroll through the sale section and save up to 80% off over 10,000 items, including Sleeper’s best-selling pajamas, LouLou Studio sweaters, Mara Hoffman dresses, and more.

& Other Stories’ sale section is usually pretty good, so keep an eye out for it on Black Friday. If you want early access, be sure to sign up for the brand’s newsletter. I’m currently adding sweaters and cocktail dresses from this brand to my cart (especially the ruched off-shoulder dress below).
Free People’s Black Friday sale hasn’t been announced yet, but the brand’s sale section is already stocked with must-have denim, cozy sweaters, puffer jackets, and more. With their sharp pointed toe and chunky block heel, ankle boots are a winter wardrobe staple.
