A new Hawaii route has opened just in time for the holiday season, adding another option to the many travelers visiting the islands this winter. This is great news for Hawaii lovers. This expansion provides new opportunities to connect with the Hawaiian Islands, from convenient Paine Field in Everett, Wash., to Honolulu, Oahu.
The first flight from Everett to Honolulu began yesterday, November 17th. Alaska Airlines plans to fly this route every day of the year. Another reason this is exciting for Alaska Airlines is that the airline offers nonstop flights to Hawaii from a total of eight mainland airports.

We’ve proudly served the Islands. This new route adds Seattle/Everett to the list of West Coast gateways to Honolulu. We’re ready to say aloha to our customers with new flights this fall. Enjoy an early afternoon arrival in Honolulu and a not-so-exciting early morning return. The new route will depart from Paine Field at 9:10 a.m. and land in Honolulu at 1:36 p.m. The return Redeye flight departs Honolulu at 11:34 p.m. and arrives in Everett at 7:20 a.m. the next day.

How much does it cost to fly from Everett to Honolulu? Starting at $137 one way.
It will take some time for demand and prices to establish themselves on this special and unique new route. The lowest price we found offered round-trip flights in early December for just $274. The more common fare is $169 one-way, except during peak times when prices are significantly higher. Fares listed above are basic economy fares; regular economy is subject to an additional $50 one-way fee.
Alaska is more reliant than ever on red-eye flights from Hawaii to the mainland United States.
The same goes for this new route. Additionally, the popular Kauai to San Diego flight operated for many years as an afternoon flight from Hawaii, but was recently changed to an evening red-eye flight. We’ll be riding that route again and writing about it, so we’ll report back on how much we like the changes. We usually don’t like red-eye flights very much. what about you?
