The website was launched in 2003 and features the latest computer security news, international cyber threat resources, and feature articles and tip sheets on computer security and safety topics. Secure Florida also provides instructions for reporting cybercrimes, links to related sites, and definitions of computer and cyber terms.
Florida was the first state to establish a partnership between government and the private sector to address cybersecurity issues. The resulting Secure His Florida Initiative was designed as an education and awareness component of the Florida Infrastructure Protection Center (FIPC), which was founded in 2001.
