Microsoft details a number of new features coming soon to its Copilot service, including the latest model for OpenAI. Copilot will soon get support for GPT-4 Turbo in addition to updated DALL-E 3 models, new code interpreter functionality, and advanced search capabilities within Bing.
Copilot will soon be able to respond using OpenAI’s latest GPT-4 Turbo model. This essentially means you “see” more data thanks to the 128K context window. This larger context window allows Copilot to better understand your queries and provide better responses. “This model is currently being tested with a limited number of users and will be widely integrated into his Copilot in the coming weeks.” Yusuf Mehdi explainsVice President and Chief Consumer Marketing Officer at Microsoft.
While we wait for the GPT-4 Turbo model to appear in Copilot, Microsoft is currently using the improved DALL-E 3 model in Bing Image Creator and Copilot. “Using Copilot, he has been updated to be able to create even higher quality and accurate images for the DALL-E 3 model prompts,” says Medhi.
Microsoft Edge, including the Copilot sidebar, also adds the ability to compose text within a website’s text input and rewrite it inline. You can now also use his Copilot in Microsoft Edge to summarize the videos you watch on YouTube.
Programmers and developers may be interested in new code interpreter features coming soon to Copilot. This new feature will allow Copilot users to get more accurate calculations, data analysis, and even code from her AI chatbot. “Copilot writes code that answers complex natural language requests, runs that code in a sandbox environment, and uses the results to provide higher-quality responses.” Microsoft explains. “You can also upload and download files to and from Copilot, so you can work with your own data and code as well as Bing search results.”
On the Bing side, Microsoft is adding “Deep Search” to its results. “Deep Search harnesses the power of his GPT-4 to provide optimized search results for complex topics,” he says. “Enabling deep search expands your search query to a more comprehensive description, resulting in more relevant results.”
