Baldur’s Gate 3 players are hoping for certain party members and NPCs to be added as new Origin characters for future playthroughs.
Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios clearly put a lot of effort into their Origin characters. This allows Origin characters to play as established party members, adding new intros and additional quests to tell their stories.
Many people wanted to explore Baldur’s Gate 3 with a character they created, so they bought The Dark Urge and a custom version of the protagonist at launch. Characters in Origin tend to become more popular in subsequent playthroughs after players have already encountered them in-game.

Origin’s characters include most, but not all, of Baldur’s Gate 3’s party members. There are also notable NPCs that players want to add to their roster, even if it means becoming the protagonist of an entirely new story.

The answers included a lot of ridiculous choices, including Emperor, Volo, and Scratch the Dog, but there were also a few names that quickly became popular.

Among the playable heroes, Minsk the Ranger (and Boo the Hamster) had a large following. One user wrote, “Maybe Minsk. He’s so late I have no intention of using him,” while another wrote, “Minsk – only with Boo’s narration!” Ta. However, the Stone Lord quest needs to be rewritten properly. ”
Despite being a playable villain, Mintara was popular. “Yeah, that would make the most sense considering Mintara could actually join the party and be affected by the main story,” said one user, while another had an idea. Change so that after her fall she finds the Shadow Heart and her mind becomes clear. ”

The most surprising choice was Alfira, a tiefling bard who is not playable in the game. “Probably Alfila,” the user explained. “It’s another support class that you almost never need to run Shadow Heart if your party needs healing without respecting others or playing support yourself.”
Larian Studios plans to support Baldur’s Gate 3, but it’s unclear how the story will progress through DLC. Perhaps the studio could expand his Baldur’s Gate 3 with more origins, offering players new ways to experience a familiar story and giving their characters different destinies.
