Passengers said their New Year’s plans were ruined and they incurred huge hotel bills as “unprecedented” track flooding continued to disrupt the Eurostar train for a second day.
More than 30,000 people due to travel on Saturday face another day of disruption as Eurostar is unable to provide additional services.
The disruption is expected to continue into January. Saturday’s tunnel flooding occurred on one of the busiest tourist days of the year.
