Two semi-trucks and a sedan were involved in the crash, which caused a major traffic jam on westbound Interstate 80.
The accident occurred at mile marker 27 west of Patrick around 7 p.m.
The crash involved two semis and a Honda Civic, causing property damage but no injuries, a Nevada State Police spokesperson said.
The accident caused delays lasting several hours. The main reason for this is that the crew had to arrange for a large tow truck to tow the semi, and conditions throughout the area are extremely cold.
This is a separate accident, but in the same location, and in addition to the backup, three more semis were stuck in ice and snow, blocking the road.
A traffic camera at the Patrick exit on Interstate 80 shows a backup beyond the traffic camera at the Tracy Clark exit.
