An All Nippon Airways flight bound for Seattle returned to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport early Wednesday after a passenger allegedly bit a flight attendant on the arm.
After being subdued by flight attendants, the 55-year-old American man was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of causing injury to a flight attendant at the airport.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night as Flight 118 was over the Pacific Ocean.
The man denied the charges, and according to police investigation, he said that he did not remember what happened because he had taken sleeping pills.
