Gen Z women are embracing bralessness, and the liberalization movement is taking the internet by storm.
On social media platform TikTok, there are more than 600 million hashtags tagged “no bra,” with women sharing outfits and looks that show no underwire.
Being braless has led to #nobrachallenge going viral on the platform and boasting over 9 million views.
While it sounds sexy, this mostly just shares how women wear fun outfits when they’re not wearing a bra, and the trend seems to help normalize a wide variety of breast shapes. .

TikTok creator Lacey Clare shot a silly video of her wearing a white crop top and no bra, pointing out that no wires are not for everyone.

The video has been viewed millions of times and many women share how they feel they can’t fully embrace the braless trend.

psychologist Karlie Dover explained that the trend is a big “statement” by young women.
“Emotionally and psychologically, going braless is expressing how you want to appear to the world and how you want to hide your most ordinary body parts. will be,” she says.
