One of Hawkins’ favorite cocktails, especially for Valentine’s Day, is the Chocolate Negroni, made with gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, and Tempus Fugit Crème de Cacao and served with Terry’s Chocolate Orange Wedge.
“Attaboy has been one of my favorite bars in New York City for many years. They have a right hand and a left hand, and they have a rum chocolate negroni and a whiskey chocolate negroni. The right hand (rum) is my personal favorite. They have chocolate. I wanted to make something traditional and find a better way to express that chocolate flavor, and the Chocolate Negroni was born. I use Tempus Fugit Crème de Cacao and chocolate bitters. Terry’s Dark Chocolate Orange happened to be my perfect garnish,” Hawkins said.
