After a delay of over a year, Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, a remake of the 2012 hack-and-slash game, will be released on September 25th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Developed by Dragami Games, Lollipop Chainsaw RePop tells the story of Juliet Starling, a high school cheerleader and scion of a family of zombie hunters, who battles the zombie apocalypse with her trusty chainsaw, along with the head of her boyfriend. While RePop will not see the return of original directors and screenwriters Goichi Suda and James Gunn, Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda has assured fans that the remake will live up to their expectations.

Among Us Original Review Our Lollipop Chainsaw review gave the game a score of 5 out of 10, stating that “Lollipop Chainsaw doesn’t even try to differentiate itself from the genre, and while it does try to do something new in the realm of characters and writing, it ultimately detracts from what is, on paper, a great action game.”
Despite our reservations about Lollipop Chainsaw, the game has gained a cult following among gamers with an affinity for the hack-and-slash genre, and we hope that RePop will resonate with players in the same way that the original game did.
