A teaser for the Galaxy Ring was released at Mobile World Congress, and Samsung is set to unveil the health-focused device in July. There’s a ton of info about the accessory, but this is our first look at the charging case that tops up the Galaxy Ring’s battery. Our impression is that it’s almost futuristic, and once you’ve seen it, you’ll probably agree.
The charging case looks like a cool cradle for your Galaxy Ring, similar to the one you’d use to store an expensive watch.
Samsung has managed to keep the Galaxy Ring largely secret, but some details have leaked out, including that the device will be an expensive purchase. Potential buyers could shell out as much as $350. We also learned that the Galaxy Ring will come in a variety of sizes, which makes sense, since no two customers have the same finger size. The largest version will last up to nine hours, but how will the battery be charged?
Now, thanks to images shared by Ice Universe, we and our readers know exactly what the charging case will look like. At first glance, it looks like Samsung’s designers and engineers spent extra time and resources to make the case as elegant as possible. The accessory resembles a watch box that you use to keep your expensive watch as clean as possible before taking it out again. Compared to the Galaxy Buds charging case, the Galaxy Ring charging case looks more premium.
Unfortunately, the image doesn’t reveal how the Galaxy Ring will charge while in its case, but the battery could potentially be charged wirelessly or there could be a port on the back. Either way, we’ll likely know whatever it is soon, as we’ll get our first look at the device in the coming days.
