In an update, Meta has expanded the video recording limits on its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
The camera built into the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses is one of the biggest reasons why the product is so appealing, but it’s always been a bit limited: Not only was the orientation fixed to vertical, but you could only record a maximum of one minute of video at a time, with no option to extend it.
However, Meta is changing this with its latest update.
Software version 6.0 is now rolling out to all Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, bringing some changes that were first announced at the end of May, including support for Calm, Amazon Music, and more.
but, Digital Trends NoteMeta hadn’t previously announced that video recording would be longer; recording time has been increased to a maximum of three minutes, triple the previous 60-second recording limit. Notable, however, is that the same option is no longer present after updating the unit to version 6.0 this afternoon. It’s possible that the update will be rolled out first through the iOS app, or at least on a limited basis.
