For those who don’t remember the Delta Force series of games, it was certainly a limited series, but there’s not much to be missed. In 1998, the first game was released on his PC, appearing as his title Milsim on Borderline, based on the military unit of the same name. It dates back to his 2009, when the last game in the short-lived series was released. But now it looks like a full reboot has been revealed, reclaiming Battlefield’s somewhat broken crown.
A short 32-second trailer gives a glimpse into the all-new Delta Force game being developed by Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group. For those unfamiliar, TiMi is the Chinese studio behind his COD Mobile, Pokémon Unite, Arena of Valor, and more.
Delta Force is the studio’s latest effort, and on the surface it looks like it’s going beyond Battlefield Battlefield.
Delta Force returns after 14 years
A full reveal is planned for Gamescom’s opening night showcase, but for now we’ll have to settle for tearing down the 32nd trailer that was recently uploaded online.
It’s a bit confusing at first glance, but I’ll try to outline what we already know.
- There is a single-player campaign themed around the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. The Battle of Mogadishu is the military operation in Somalia that inspired the 2001 film Black Hawk Down. Delta Force operators were heavily involved in this special operation.
- Includes a massive multiplayer offering featuring “massive PvP” combat that incorporates land, sea and air combat across vast, open maps. battlefield?
Oddly enough, the trailer reveals elements that aren’t necessarily considered “precise” that seem designed to enhance the fantastical nature of the massively multiplayer environment. For example, a “reconnaissance arrow” fired from a bow absolutely That was not the case in the Battle of Mogadishu.
We also see soldiers being “powered up” with some kind of wrist-worn device, which is also not used by the US military in the early 1990s. With weapons, vehicles, and structures that don’t correlate with that timeline, it can be assumed that Delta Force will traverse several ‘eras’, similar to Battlefield 2042’s portal mode.
In that regard, the 32-second trailer has shots that appear to be straight out of the Battlefield 2042 showcase, and the video includes sounds straight out of Call of Duty, such as the Desert Eagle firing sound. Masu.
Battlefield is currently in a bind, suffering from too many failures and the weight of an ever-declining player base. Can Delta Force intervene and take the laurels of a large-scale battle?
It’s a strange combination – we’ll find out more when the full reveal happens on August 22nd.
