How TD Synnex MSP Evolve targets partner growth
Large technology companies and distributors have been turning to managed service providers for the past few years. Maybe it’s because they’re seeing various channel partners have managed services revenue streams. Or maybe it’s because the MSP market continues to grow. So it’s no surprise to see more vendor and distributor programs catering to the specific needs of MSPs. TD Synnex launched its MSP Evolve program in May to help MSPs grow.
According to TD Synnex’s 2023 Technology MSP Directions Special Report, 80% of MSPs are focused on growing their business by expanding their technology and solution offerings, especially in fast-growing technologies like cloud, security, data analytics and AI, and entering new industry verticals.
The MSP Evolve program brings together TD Synnex resources and tools to help MSPs accelerate their business growth and is currently available to MSPs in North America.
MSP Evolve was developed based on feedback from MSPs who wanted to take advantage of the resources available within TD Synnex but didn’t know where to start, said Meredith Payne, senior director of cloud at TD Synnex.
TruMethods Launches Peer Group for Small MSPs
What do successful managed service providers (MSPs) do that others aren’t? There are plenty of best practices to choose from, but it can be hard to know which are the most important ones to prioritize to make a difference.
This question is perhaps even more important for newer, smaller MSPs with one to five employees, which make up 70 to 80 percent of the market, according to TruMethods founder Gary Pica.
One thing that many successful MSPs have in common is that they belong to a peer group.
Now TruMethods, founded by industry icon Gary Pica and acquired by Kaseya’s IT Glue, is rolling out a version of the peer group organization specifically tailored to the needs of the newest and smallest MSPs.
Data Governance is Essential for Effective Cybersecurity for MSPs
While many MSPs are only just beginning to explore cybersecurity opportunities, the need for data governance has actually been an issue for years, if not decades.
“Data governance has been a hot topic ever since systems and applications became mainstream to help organizations run their business,” David Washo, client services partner at digital transformation consultancy AHEAD, told ChannelE2E. “Whether organizations called it ‘data governance,’ information management, or data management back then, they’ve always recognized that managing data is an essential part of running their business.”
Effective data governance is a key part of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, ensuring that data is consistent, trustworthy, and not misused. Data governance is becoming more important as organizations face expanding data privacy regulations and increasingly rely on data analytics to optimize operations and drive business decisions.
Data governance is a core element of an overall data management strategy. But for a governance program to be successful, organizations must focus on the business benefits they expect from the program. Washo says there has been a recent resurgence of interest in data governance functions, driven by the rise of AI and more sophisticated tools and technologies.
Fulcrum IT M&A approach: MSP maintains brand and operational independence
The managed service provider (MSP) sector is undergoing rapid consolidation, driven by both private equity investments and acquisitions by industry players. The allure of recurring revenue models and the constant demand for advanced IT solutions has led to a high number of mergers and acquisitions. As a result, a multitude of platform MSPs have emerged, each adopting their own strategies to expand their services and geographic reach.
In our continuing ChannelE2E series, we examine how these platform MSPs are expanding their services, increasing their geographic reach, strengthening their talent pools, and increasing revenue through strategic acquisitions.
In this competitive environment, Fulcrum IT differentiates itself with a unique approach to acquisitions that emphasizes long-term partnerships, strategic alignment and collaborative innovation.
Unlike some of its competitors, Fulcrum IT allows the companies it acquires to maintain their own brand and operational independence, an approach that company executives say fosters an environment where innovation and expansion are key.
