Disneyland handed out umbrellas to passengers who were trapped on the Incredicoaster at Disney’s California Adventure for more than an hour during a scorching heatwave, while rescuers freed 20 people stranded on the 120-foot-tall rollercoaster.
According to Freelance Media Company, Disneyland employees wearing safety harnesses evacuated passengers and guided them to safety after the Incredicoaster broke down on the tracks just after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. OC Hawk.

The Incredicoaster remained temporarily closed as of 7 p.m. Sunday due to a malfunction, according to the Disneyland app.
Temperatures at Anaheim theme parks reached the mid-80s Fahrenheit on Sunday, ahead of a heatwave expected to hit Southern California over the next week or so.
Vince Crandon said KNBC4 The Incredicoaster also had a malfunction the previous day, Saturday, June 29th.
“I thought maybe the attraction was closed,” Crandon told KNBC 4. “I was worried about the heat and, of course, the passengers.”
The 6,000-foot-long magnetically launched loop coaster at Pixar Pier, with a top speed of 55 mph, underwent seasonal renovations in March.
OC Hawk said it is unclear what caused the vehicle’s malfunction.
