The beef portion in this recipe is served in the form of a flank steak. I recommend slicing thinly towards the fibers before entering the cooking portion. For the marinade you will need extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, turmeric, cinnamon, paprika, cumin, coriander, ground ginger and ground cloves.
This beef is flavorful enough when marinated and cooked, but will probably need some garnish. Musgrave chooses pita, hummus, and fresh Italian parsley to garnish.
