A dermatologist reveals how you can clear your skin simply by changing the way you wash your face.

“First and foremost, make sure you wash your face at night,” Dr. Idris began. “I mean, you’ve got all this dirt on your face and you’ve been walking around all day and you’ve gotten punched in the face.”
“If you don’t treat your face with the love and respect it deserves, no one else will,” she continues, comparing neglecting skincare to buying an Aston Martin and not having it serviced. did.
“This is literally what it means to not wash your face at night,” warns the board-certified dermatologist.
Next on the list of tips is actually washing your face properly at night.
“Second, if you’re going to take the time and actually make the effort to wash your face at night, make sure you do it right,” Dr. Idris instructed. “Don’t skimp on how you do it.”
“If you wear makeup and you know there’s a cleanser that completely removes your makeup, that’s great, but you may not have come across that cleanser yet. Because we haven’t met.”
She advised viewers to use micellar water or oil-based makeup remover to remove makeup, followed by a cleanser.
To make sure all makeup has been properly removed from your face, Dr. Idris recommended trying something called the “white towel test.”
“After I wash, I get a clean white towel, and if she’s transparent, I know I did it right,” she explained.
And last but not least, Dr. Idris warned about washing your face right after you wake up in the morning.
“Before you all come at me in the comments, I’m not saying you shouldn’t wash your face with water in the morning,” the dermatologist explained.
“But you don’t need to use a cleanser in the morning after washing your face at night.”
Dr. Idris said that when you cleanse in the morning, you may actually be “stripping too much” of your skin’s natural oils.
“There are obviously exceptions to this rule, but for most people, this works well,” she said.
It’s a rule her patients enjoy, she says.
“And many of my own patients have told me that this particular tip made a huge difference to their skin when they didn’t use a face wash in the morning,” the dermatologist said.
“So don’t neglect your face, which makes you money, but don’t wash your face at night,” she concluded.
