Princess Kate receives praise for her fashion sense at first appearance in six months
Princess Kate turned heads over the weekend when she showed off flawless fashion at her first official engagement in nearly six months.
The Princess of Wales, who is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed cancer, attended Trooping the Colour with her husband, Prince William, and their three children.
writing Daily MailFashion editor Alice Hare dissected the details of Kate’s outfits, including the recycled Jenny Peckham dress she wore to a pre-coronation function last year.
However, the princess added a new twist to her white midi-length dress with a green bow tie and a white ribbon on the black waistband.
To accentuate her look, she opted for the pearl earrings she wore to Prince Louis’ christening in 2018, a black Mulberry clutch bag that she’s owned for over 10 years, and white Jimmy Choo stiletto heels for her ninth public outing.
Finally, Kate added a Philip Treacy hat, which she had never worn before, transforming what the author described as a “seemingly business-like pencil dress” into an “eye-catching special occasion look.”
Hare praised the dress’s update, enthusing, “The look is far from ‘see it before.'”
Royal watchers were also captivated by Kate’s effortless look for King Charles’ official birthday, pointing out its similarity to the iconic black and white dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in the film. My beloved woman.
