The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, predicted the possibility of the naira rebounding again, this time greater than the United States dollar.
Our correspondent reported that based on the findings of the black market, the purchase price of the dollar is about 915 naira, and it sells at 918 naira.
As a result of this upward decline, businesses and the cost of living of Nigerians along with the removal of fuel subsidies have been severely affected.
Adeboye made this prediction during the church’s monthly thanksgiving mass on Sunday, which our correspondent monitored on the theme of September; “Uncommon miracles.”
According to the venerable clerics, there was a period when the naira competed favorably with the United States dollar.
“The days will return when the Naira will be stronger,” he said. “Those glory days will return. When that happens, you’ll know.”
Adeboye noted that miracles connote something unique, stressing that they often may not be understood by many.
He explained how God gave him ordinary testimonies, some of which many people did not believe.
“A miracle is absolutely extraordinary. God can give you a miracle that will be difficult to share,” Adeboye added.
