Air France’s 2024 First Class: A challenge to become the best in the world?
Air France has shared an update on its new first class plans, and it looks great. They revealed some new details about the product, which will debut in 2024 and begin flying in 2025, at their Investor Day presentation, which I first saw highlighted. by one mile at a time.
It’s not clear how much the seat has evolved, but we got a sneak peek of a rendering of the new seat last year.
Air France promises the “longest cabin” in first class, completely private (somewhat differentiated from the floor-to-ceiling curtains currently in place) and 1- With a 1-1 configuration, there are only three seats in the cabin.
The airline says it believes the seats will be available with sofas, seats and lie-flat beds, making them among the “best in the world.”
We know the product will be available on the Boeing 777-300ER, but there are also reports that it will be installed on some Airbus A350-1000 aircraft as well.
I agree with Lucky that Air France offers the world’s best first class ground experience in Paris. They do a very good job of making soft products airborne. However, their seats were pretty much in the middle, so I think he actually overestimates the overall in-flight experience.
In terms of hard products, Air France currently offers first class on the new Emirates 777 (the best overall first class in the world), the A380 Suite in Singapore (my second place in first class), The Suite on ANA, and first on the Etihad A380.・I think I’m behind on apartments. .

Singapore Suite, two suites combined with a double bed
Air France does a great job with food and beverages, but I think they’re not as good as Singapore or Emirates (although Singapore could use some advancements in food). Also, given my personal taste in Japanese cuisine, I prefer ANA’s in-flight meal service even if that’s the case. Not as impressive as it was a few years ago.
The real key to my heart is flying in the new Emirates first class and the flight attendants just leave me a bottle of Chateau d’Yquem.
And while the best experiences on the ground are as great as a meal at the Air France lounge in Paris or a ride to the plane, there’s always a one-hour massage at the Thai Airways spa in Bangkok and a golf cart. I was asked to take her to the plane.
Perhaps Air France’s new seats will be comparable to the first Apartment? I know some people have complained that Etihad’s beds are too hard, but the seat and bed are separate and the two Not only can you combine the seats to lie next to someone (from the waist up), but the sheer attention to real estate on board is incredible. ) It’s great to stay in bed. The food, service and amenities are top notch. The first class shower room is too small.
Air France has not added showers in first class, while only Etihad Airways and Emirates offer them on their Airbus A380s.
Emirates first class shower
Air France offers the best first class across the Atlantic. Singapore Airlines doesn’t fly the Airbus A380 between New York JFK and Frankfurt, but I think it’s better than the old Emirates Airbus A380 suite, even without a shower (the A380 does fly between New York JFK and Milan). i will be back).
At the same time, I think many reviewers overrate this product, even though it is the best product in the world. The new First Class may finally live up to its hype, so we can’t wait to see it.
Of course, there will be nothing left in the sky to match Etihad Airways’ A380 Residence. This is a two-person cabin with a separate private bathroom, shower, and bedroom at the front of the cabin. This is currently only sold as an upgrade option for those who have already been ticketed in First Class with Etihad Airways and is not considered a ‘First Class’ in-flight product in itself.
