New Jersey State Police rescued three flight attendants at Atlantic City Airport in Egg Harbor Township Sunday morning after they were exposed to smoke inside the airport, officials said.
According to police, three flight attendants who were exposed to exhaust fumes at the airport were taken to the hospital at around 5:47 a.m.
Authorities did not provide details about which airlines the flight attendants worked for, and police did not provide further identifying information about the flight attendants.
Police have not yet revealed the extent of injuries sustained by those people in Sunday morning’s incident, but said the three were taken for further assessment.
Law enforcement officials also did not immediately say what type of smoke may have been involved in the incident.
Airport authorities did not respond to requests for comment.
