Happy Independence Day to everyone! For me, Independence Day is not complete without eating a lot of juicy watermelon. It’s delicious. When I was a kid, watermelon and fireworks were a tradition on Independence Day.
We would gather at my grandmother’s house, eat barbecued spare ribs and watermelon, and have a lot of fun with firecrackers. My cousins had a lot of fun with firecrackers. I was scared of firecrackers. I didn’t like the noise they made, and I was scared of getting burned.
Even as an adult, I love watching the beautiful fireworks burst into the sky, but I hate hearing the sound of them going off nearby. It drives me and my dog crazy.
