AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU will be released in late January and will reportedly target the budget segment with a US price tag of $300.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT “RDNA 3” GPU aims to launch in January, no reference model, price around $300
Rumors about the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU are not new, as they have been talked about since September, when the card first appeared in online listings. This card was also recently spotted in a new listing by the relatively new AIB, which is primarily limited to the Asian region. These AIBs usually list the cards as just placeholders in case AMD might launch these graphics cards in the future.
follow up list, bench life We reported that the only card AMD currently plans to launch is the Radeon RX 7600 XT. Other cards such as RX 7800 and RX 7700 are not planned by AMD. The Radeon RX 7600 XT will be the first new RDNA 3 GPU to launch in 2024, and most likely the last before AMD switches gears and focuses on its RDNA 4 GPU lineup. This graphics card will be released from January 22nd to 28th, which is about the same time that NVIDIA will be releasing its RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card.
In other words, AMD expects to have just one new product in the first half of 2024, the Radeon RX 7600 XT.
We also confirm that the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT does not have an MBA (manufactured by AMD) card for media testing.
AMD still maintains plans for 6 graphics cards (excluding GRE). We may see RDNA 4 with PCIe 5.0 support in late 2024. If something unforeseen happens, RDNA 4 will be delayed to 2025.
Based on previous reports from the same source, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU was expected to come with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which is twice as much as the RX 7600 Non-XT. The RX 7600 already offers a full Navi 33 GPU, so there is no information on which GPU will make it into the RX 7600 XT. So the two options would offer higher clocks and higher VRAM configurations for the same RX 7600 GPU. The “XT” variant or move up the stack and use reduced Navi 32 silicon to offer more cores.
It is also said that the graphics card will only have custom variants at launch, as there will be no “MBA” reference model released by AMD itself.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 launched for $269 USD, but can be found for closer to $249 USD. Based on this, we expect the XT model to launch for around $299 USD. Having double the VRAM on a budget-level graphics card may have some uses, but what we’re seeing with the 16GB variant of the RTX 4060 Ti and its 128-bit bus interface is a serious bottleneck. As we’ve seen, most games will be limited to 1080p. . We don’t yet know what the RX 7600 XT will look like, but it’s a pretty interesting entry considering that in the same month NVIDIA will also be introducing a new budget-level option, the 6 GB RTX 3050 for less than $200. There is no doubt that it will be. US price range.
