CHARLOTTE — An American Airlines plane had to make an emergency landing at Charlotte Douglas Airport Saturday morning.
The plane landed safely around 11:20 a.m.

The emergency landing prompted a huge reaction from first responders amid already frustrating traffic conditions near the airport.
MEDIC announced that no one was taken to the hospital from the plane.
Details are limited at this time, but one viewer posted a video of the plane taxiing after landing.

Channel 9 asked airport and AA officials for information on the flight number, cause and number of passengers.
The only response I received from the airport was to contact American Airlines.
