Apple’s AI plans go beyond the previously announced Apple Intelligence launches on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. According to Mark Gurman of BloombergThe company is also working on bringing these features to its Vision Pro headphones.
This move isn’t entirely surprising — if Apple Intelligence (a whole suite of features including improved Siri, grammar-checking tools, and custom emoji) is key to Apple’s future, why shouldn’t it be available on all of Apple’s latest gadgets? But for all the impressiveness of the Vision Pro, it remains an unusually expensive device with a limited audience (so far).
Gorman says Apple Intelligence won’t launch on Vision Pro this year. The main challenge for Apple here is to rethink what features will look like in mixed reality, and not on a MacBook or iPhone screen.
Speaking about Vision Pro sales, Gorman reported that Apple is also rolling out changes to the way it displays the headphones in stores, adding the ability for potential buyers to view their personal media on the Vision Pro, and is also changing the headband from the Solo Loop to Dual Loop for added comfort.
We also have new rumors about Apple from Analyst Ming-Chi KuoHe says his latest supply chain survey leads him to believe the company plans to mass-produce AirPods with infrared cameras by 2026. The new AirPods could support new spatial audio experiences and gesture controls when used with Vision Pro.
