The Christmas season is just around the corner, and preparing festive food is a big part of the festivities. Why not try making this season’s most popular plum cake at home this year? You don’t need an oven to make this version of the dessert. The combination of dried fruits and nuts also makes an ideal snack for other special occasions. Let’s see how it is prepared:

1/2 cup cashew nuts
1/2 cup dates
1/2 cup cherries

1/2 cup black raisins
1 cup of wine
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons orange zest
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water and 2 tablespoons
1 cup maida (refined wheat flour)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch of salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
100g butter (melted)
1 cinnamon
2 cloves
2 cardamom
1 small piece of nutmeg
1 small piece of dried ginger

Take a frying pan and mix the dry fruits and nuts with the wine, orange juice and masala powder.

As the water evaporates, add honey and mix.
Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.
Add 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons water to a frying pan and caramelize.
Once done, turn off the heat and add about half a cup of water at a time.
Mix well and let it cool and set aside
Take a wire whisk and sift the maida three times along with 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt.
Take 1/2 amount of this powder and mix it with the fruit mix.
Take a mixer jar, add powdered sugar and 2 eggs, and mix well (be careful not to overheat the jar at this time)
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 cup butter to this egg mixture and mix again
Transfer the egg mixture to a bowl, add caramelized sugar and mix well.
Make the dough by gradually adding the sifted flour and egg mixture.
Add the boiled fruit mix and mix well.
The cake mix is now ready
Grease baking paper with butter and place it in the mold
Pour the cake batter into the mold
Preheat the baking container for 10 minutes and place the mold in the container (you can also place a stand inside the hot container to keep the mold)
Keep the heat on high for the first 3 minutes, then reduce the heat to low.
Continue to bake on low heat for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
A cake weighing 1.140kg has been completed.
Remove the cake from the mold and let it cool
The rich plum cake is completed.
Cut into small pieces and enjoy.
