A JetBlue plane crashed on the tarmac at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), forcing passengers to disembark and delaying Monday afternoon’s flight by 10 hours.
JetBlue Airways announced that its Boston-bound Flight 534 was “involved in an accident with a pushback tractor” while pushing back from the gate. Tractors are commonly known as tugs.
The airline said all customers were deplaned and offered alternative flight options. There were no reports of injuries.
“No injuries were reported,” the statement said. “Safety is JetBlue’s top priority. We are reviewing this incident and the aircraft has been grounded for inspection.”
