Too good to be true
My colleague Kyle Wagers reports that most tools claiming AI-generated text detection fail spectacularly. This is a paradox. I’m only human, but a lot of the AI-written presentations I receive don’t pass the sniff test yet; Their manner and speech make me uncomfortable.
Again, it may be too early to expect machines to detect something, even if we can see it. As fellow TechCrunch writer Ron Miller recently noted, “It’s really like AI-generated art, which has a certain look and feel.”
This look and feel became hilariously obvious in a recent experiment conducted on one of my favorite social media accounts, Ugly Belgian houses.
