Canadian low-cost carrier Lynx Air is expanding its operations in the United States.
The airline, which begins service in April 2022, will have Boston and San Francisco as its newest U.S. destinations. Lynx will serve both cities from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

Lynx flights from Toronto to Boston will begin on March 28, and the airline will begin serving Toronto on a four-times-a-week schedule. From April 22nd, the number of flights will be increased to six times a week (every day except Saturday).
Lynx will begin flying from San Francisco to Toronto four times a week starting May 3. The route will operate daily from June 11th.

Lynx, which operates on an ultra-low-cost model similar to U.S. airlines Allegiant, Frontier and Spirit, primarily targets Canadian travelers looking to travel to the U.S., but not to Canada. Americans will likely welcome this new service as well.

The Lynx will face significant competition either route. Air Canada already flies nonstop between Boston and Toronto Pearson, and another Canadian rival, Porter Airlines, flies from Boston to Toronto Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) just outside the city’s downtown. are doing.
In San Francisco, the Lynx will face off against three airlines (Air Canada, Porter and United) on the Toronto-Pearson route.
The two newest Lynx cities bring the total number of U.S. destinations to eight, joining Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Phoenix, Tampa and Fort Myers, Florida.
