A snack that’s been a staple in central Illinois for years is working to bring back its original taste.
Kitchen Cooked − Currently Utz Quality Foods − writes as follows. “Our kitchen artisans work hard to bring you the Kitchen Cooked® potato chips you know and love.”

Many people expressed excitement over the recipe update, with one commenter likening the change to a “Christmas miracle.” Multiple commenters pointed out that the previous recipe deviated from the original flavor that customers had come to love.
Flossie Howard founded Kitchen Cooked, Inc. in the 1930s. The Farmington-based company sold a variety of snack foods, but it was the company’s potato chips that caught the eye.
In late 2019, Kitchen Cooked announced that it would merge with Utz Quality Foods, a Pennsylvania operating company. The merger resulted in the closure of Bushnell’s Kitchen Cooked facility, which had been in operation for more than 40 years. And in 2022, Utz announced that his Cooked facility in Farmington will be the next facility. Sales distribution center.
