I’ve previously written about the many problems Palworld has as an early access game, but one stands out from moment to moment of gameplay. It’s a constant raid/invasion of your base that is currently unbalanced or unconfigured and essentially only serves as a “tax” to your world, with no effect on successful defense. has no real benefit. Just damage mitigation. And guess what? You can also turn them off. I will consider doing so until most of the following is fixed by Pocket Pair.
The problems with raids are many.
- Raids are scaled to the player’s level rather than their companions’ level. Your companions usually lag behind, as you are the only one who can gain significant experience by capturing them in the wild. So at level 40, if he has 35-39 allies in his team, he will probably have 41-42 enemies storming his base.and the base will be filled all Pal’s level, many of which will be miles below that cap. Therefore, depending on the enemy group, most of your comrades are often (temporarily) slaughtered.
- Enemies like fire-wielding soldiers and their allies can burn down entire wooden structures you build, even if only a portion of them burns.
- You will see regular expensive buildings destroyed and a large amount of materials needed for construction lost.
- You spend a significant amount of expensive ammo defending your base with your allies, but you get nothing in return other than a small amount of gold, random ammo, or materials for your allies. You, your pal team, and your base pals don’t gain any XP for defeating enemies in what is legitimately the toughest battle in the game.
- Pal AI continues to have problems in battle as well. What’s the point of building a machine gun nest for defense and sounding the alarm…if no one is manning it?

of only The real advantage I see from raiding is that if you’re very lucky, you can catch one or two high-level allies for collection in the chaos. But in most cases, your base will be damaged, you can die, many allies will be incapacitated, and you will need a 10-minute cooldown. The whole system makes you want to stay out of your base as much as possible.
So unless you’re greedy for punishment or consider this a serious “survival” game, my advice is to turn off raids in the game’s settings. In pocket pair, tons There are various settings to suit your world, and there are some other useful settings, such as faster item construction speed, which is useful if the AI is really stupid. And you’ll earn XP faster.
However, while these feel like “cheat codes” in a sense, I think they are justified in disabling the intrusion until serious fixes are made to the system. They serve no purpose other than to drain resources or force good workers to go on cooldown. I’m sure some people enjoy constructing elaborate defenses to mitigate harm, but I don’t think it’s worth it at this point. At the very least, invasions should give you meaningful rewards and a lot of XP for defense, instead of giving you nothing unless you get lucky.
