Cisco Webex has partnered with Journey to enhance security for businesses deploying Webex contact centers.
Journey, a cybersecurity software business, works with Webex to streamline the customer experience and improve security for businesses. Its unified “identity” platform will be available to all Webex Contact Center customers through the Webex App Hub.

Journey’s Identity Network allows businesses to securely and easily conduct contact center interactions across voice and digital channels. Journey’s unified identity platform features include identity proofing, authentication, digital disclosure, and secure transactions powered by smartphone sensors.
To prevent fraud and create a seamless and fast customer experience, any data, input, or images provided by callers is encrypted and delivered via Journey’s Zero Knowledge Network.
Journey provides an additional layer of security with a proprietary encrypted identity network that leverages digital inputs from users’ smartphones, such as FaceID, phone camera images, and electronic document signatures. Voice and digital conversations between Webex Contact Center agents and customers are handled over verified and encrypted connections.
Journey’s identity solution is now available in the Webex App Hub for integration into Webex contact center voice channels, IVRs, and agent desktops.
Cisco’s major security acquisition
2023 has been a remarkable year for Cisco’s investments in cybersecurity partnerships and solutions, with perhaps the most significant incident occurring last week when the vendor acquired Splunk, an AI-driven cybersecurity and observability business. .
