Counter-Strike 2 players were left stunned when their knife unexpectedly caught fire during a round in Overpass.
Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) was released on September 27th and has garnered attention in the gaming community not only for its improved graphics and revamped maps, but also for the many bugs and issues that have surfaced since its release.
One such strange and unexpected bug left players and the CS2 community in awe. The player recently shared footage on Reddit In the middle of the round, he showed how his knife was lit.

This clip shows the player switching to a Molotov cocktail and lobs towards the flooded area of the overpass near the B site. However, when switching to a knife, the knife somehow went up in flames, causing the blade to fully ignite while the player still held the grip.
Naturally, the player appears shocked and retreats to a safer location while seemingly trying to figure out what’s going on.

Realizing that the fire is not going out, the player begins to swipe the blade, but the fire does not go out. The player then dashes back to where the enemy team is, presumably showing off the flaming knife hide, but the round ends before they can do so.

The Counter-Strike 2 community quickly shared their surprise on a Reddit thread, with many wondering whether the fiery knife would have dealt additional damage if it had touched the enemy. ○No observant player is paying attention.“AWP had one too, but the OP switched too quickly. I want a .308 flamethrower valve.”
This interesting incident isn’t the only issue CS2 players have encountered since the game’s release. Players have reported game-breaking bugs, including random elements of Mirage appearing within other maps, blocking visibility and affecting gameplay. Others blamed the “underwhelming” launch and criticized the “lagging” servers.

Either way, CS2 has already achieved impressive success, with over 1.3 million players at its peak. However, the presence of game-breaking bugs and the lack of important features have left the community demanding a more polished Counter-Strike experience.
