Based on comments from tick tock users prefer @baboopy, @moongoddess33.33 and @marinalyn666The area where Hope’s acne was located is known as the “Triangle of Death.” @ravenskyanother creator claimed to have been in a similar situation to Hope and was “close to sepsis.”
What is the “triangle of death”?
Triangle of Death, colloquially, Dr. Amesh Adaljaa board-certified infectious disease physician at the Johns Hopkins Health Safety Center in Pennsylvania. health line, refers to “the area of the face that includes the areas of the nose and corners of the mouth.” This area is “connected via blood vessels to areas of the skull,” making it a hotspot for infections, where infections can spread quickly.
“As someone who has always chosen my life, you may have convinced me to reconsider and hope that you are on the mend.” @liltittiegothmom commented in response to Hope’s warning video. To this, Hope replied, “I now adore Pimple Patches as a fellow skin picker.”
Why did this staph infection occur?
Dr. teresa songcertified dermatologist Marumuru Medicalexplained that popping a pimple breaks down “the surface of the skin that normally acts as a protective barrier.”
“This allows bacteria that are naturally present on our skin to gain entry into the skin and cause an infection in that area,” she told Yahoo’s In The Know via email. “It is more dangerous to pop pimples in the triangular danger zone of the face, marked by the corners of the nose and mouth, because this area has important blood vessels and the infection can quickly spread deep into the body. .”
Song says hydrocolloid patches and spot treatments are more effective ways to treat acne.
“For single lesions, you can use hydrocolloid acne patches or spot treatment regimens containing sulfur, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid,” she added. “If your acne is deep and painful, applying warm compresses over and over again may help. In-office cortisone injections can be given for certain types of acne and can quickly improve the appearance of dark spots. It’s helpful.”
