The Chicago Department of Transportation resumed service on the Brown Line and Purple Line Express Friday night after a woman was hit by a train, police said.
Police said a 31-year-old woman was struck by a train in the 1500 block of North Hudson around 3:40 p.m. She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Further details about the incident had not yet been released Friday night.
Brown Line service was suspended between Armitage and Clark/Lake, and Purple Line Express service was also suspended at Sedgewick.The train resumed regular service by 7:55 p.m.
