Identity security company CyberArk has announced details of its new artificial intelligence center of excellence. “Leveraging our long history of leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies across the CyberArk identity security platform, CyberArk is expanding its research and development and product development resources to “We are driving adoption and improving security for more than 8,000 customers around the world,” said a company spokesperson.
According to the recently published CyberArk 2023 Identity Security Threat Landscape Report, 93% of surveyed security professionals expect AI-powered threats to impact their organizations in 2023. AI-powered malware is cited as a top concern.
The Center of Excellence works closely with CyberArk Labs, which studies the impact of generative AI on attacker innovation to help evolve AI-powered defenses. With a team of data scientists, software architects, and engineers, Center of Excellence is initially exploring opportunities to incorporate AI into his existing Cyber Ark products. Meanwhile, CyberArk continues to execute on a comprehensive long-term roadmap built on its AI foundation and commitment to innovation.
“CyberArk has already demonstrated the strategic value of AI/ML in improving identity security threat detection and response within the CyberArk Identity Security Platform. Announced new policy creation automation leveraging CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager, which combines privileged access management expertise with a comprehensive least-privilege toolset to automatically process data collected by CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager and provide immediate risk mitigation,” the spokesperson added.
“CyberArk is committed to leveraging AI/ML to transform our approach to identity security in many ways, including supporting identity risk analysis and risk mitigation plans. It simplifies many types of tasks, allowing users to use natural language to interact with systems, easily access documents and more.”
“The establishment of our AI Center of Excellence is a natural progression of our product strategy. In particular, we continue to see evidence of generative AI increasing the productivity of both sides of the cybersecurity equation: attackers and defenders. Given the growing number of customers, now is the right time to scale up our efforts,” said Peretz Regev, Chief Product Officer at CyberArk. “One of our goals is to help our customers better leverage the AI-based capabilities within our products to create advantages in their defense strategies. We recognize AI’s ability to impact use cases related to areas such as policy optimization, risk mitigation, and policy optimization and threat detection.”
“CyberArk offers the most comprehensive security products for any identity, human or machine, across business applications, distributed workforces, hybrid cloud environments, and the DevOps lifecycle, with intelligent permission control at its core. Leading organizations around the world trust CyberArk to keep their most critical assets safe.”
“Poor visibility, inconsistent tools, and the proliferation of human and machine identities pose significant challenges for identity security in the public cloud. It helps you consistently analyze, secure and monitor both persistent and just-in-time privileged access in your environment,” concludes Regev.
