- Bad advice from Delta puts Air France at risk of losing New York JFK slot The FAA denied a request to waive the requirement to temporarily use slots that are not planned for use.
The winter season waiver from the FAA was announced on September 20, 2023. Based on this waiver, and especially in response to rumors that a waiver was coming, the airline canceled one of its five regular daily flights between Paris and JFK from November to March. Two frequencies were reduced in the last two weeks of February…we were aware (from discussions with other airlines, particularly Delta) that a 10% relaxation was likely. . ”
