It says a lot about your life when a man you’re “in love with” can predict what he’s doing on the nights you’re “away” from his life.
I would like to take a moment to explain. My night off is when Luc spends the summer a day or a night or both.
I could usually use this time to reinvent myself or go out and live the life a 20-something girl should live.
Instead, I decided to uncork the wine, sweat it out, and eat some veggies while watching a movie. vampire diary. A complete waste of time, but hey, we all have our stuff. right?
That’s it. Now, “dexting” is a term I coined for what I call “dating through text.”
Yes, in a world where love has become limited to a swipe right or left, it’s no wonder text messages are replaced by sleight of hand. This is when you and the opposite sex (or same sex) decide that you have some kind of cyber connection and start sending text messages.
Whether or not a text conversation goes well determines whether or not you want to meet. Even if you do manage to meet up, it’s either going to work out, or you’re halfway through the date and decide to delete that stupid dating app the moment you walk in the door or get in the car. . So the world is an ocean, and there are many fish in the immediate vicinity.
So what happens when you have a cyber connection but the meeting doesn’t happen? Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, and you’re still texting with this special person. but never in actual direct contact. Friends, this is called “Dexting”. You are dating a person via text messages only.
My cyber boyfriend and I have been dexing for the past 3 weeks. We say good morning and good night to each other. We compliment each other and wish each other a great day. It’s too early to say the word “I love you” but it will be replaced by a combination kiss emoji and heart eyes emoji, hopefully someday (I’m in no hurry ).
As I mentioned earlier, things get so serious he can even predict what I’m doing tonight.
I’ve never met someone so compatible. Through countless selfies and superficial questions, I feel like I really know this person. Well, as long as you can get to know someone through cybertechnology. It’s just like that one scene she Only with live humans.
It’s not that I don’t want to get to know this person in person. It’s just that he looks so amazing through the cyberwaves and perfect selfies. Why ruin a good thing? I can’t be hurt by someone I’ve never met. The only thing I’ll lose if this dexterity thing doesn’t work out is the freedom from constantly moving my fingers. I’ve heard that too much email can lead to arthritis.
So, there. At worst, I have arthritis and I have a forever caring partner.
It may sound silly, but our obsession with social media, Candy Crush, and online shopping for our loved ones has meant that people barely talk to each other or connect with each other anymore. In the world, dexterity is the future. The way I see it, I’m one step ahead of the game. Plus, who has time for a real date when there are hours of mind-blowing TV shows waiting to be streamed by my only love? Netflix.
