Eminem will perform at Fortnite’s Big Bang event.
Fortnite had to shut down its servers due to an overwhelming number of players logging in to watch the second showing of the Eminem Big Bang event.
On December 2nd, Fortnite’s highly anticipated Big Bang event was scheduled to begin at 2pm ET. The event will cover all upcoming content, including the announcement of a collaboration with LEGO.
Due to the huge popularity of the Big Bang event, wait times skyrocketed, with some players waiting over an hour to participate. This prompted Fortnite to release two more Showtime events featuring Eminem concerts.

Events will be held approximately 3 hours apart to allow time for events to reset. What Fortnite didn’t expect was that the second event would become even more popular than the first, so Epic Games was forced to shut down all Fortnite servers for recovery. it was done.

Fortnite’s official status update account on Twitter/X notified players that the servers will be shut down for an unknown amount of time. This decision was made after players started experiencing connectivity issues to the game in hopes of participating in the upcoming event.

“We are still working to recover the overwhelming attendance from our first event, Showtime.” fortnite said. “Fortnite will be temporarily offline as we prepare for an encore show in the next few hours. Details regarding the next show time will be provided soon.”
Multiple users reported that the wait time for the server to shut down was even longer than the initial wait time earlier in the day. One user showed an image of his wait time. It was almost 2 hours.
