as barge cast As our listeners know, I have a deep and eternal fascination with the windshield wipers on the Tesla Cybertruck. This is one of the dumbest design compromises in automotive history, and is itself a design compromise. I really like that.
Anyway, I’ve been asking listeners to send me detailed photos of their wipers to support the rumors I’m hearing. Thanks to the dozens of people who sent in photos. But until today I had nothing worth running for. Our own Parker Ortolani spotted the Cybertruck in New York and snapped a few photos that seem to show that the “single wiper” is actually multiple wiper blades stacked in a row.
From what I’ve heard, the idea seems to be to facilitate exchange. It is believed that sourcing standard wipers is easier than bulk custom parts. This is a close-up. Apparently her second blade is attached to the end of the arm.
Here’s where it gets even more interesting. I have unconfirmed information in my inbox that the wiper is actually there. three I found that the blades were lined up in a row and the length of the wiper arm meant that the tip had to move dangerously fast and make a large arc with each sweep. If you can confirm anything, please let me know. The Verge is America’s number one source for Cybertruck wiper news, and it’s all thanks to readers like you.
