Mortal Kombat 1 is just over two weeks away from hitting digital and physical stores, but if you’re willing to spend a little more on the game, you can get your hands on it even sooner.
We now know the exact start date and time of Mortal Kombat 1’s early access period for those who pre-ordered the game’s Premium or Collector Edition.
We’ve known for some time that MK1 Early Access would start five days early on September 14th, but the online retailer has also added that specific time.
The Premium and Collector’s Edition versions of the game will be available for play that Thursday at 10am PDT / 12pm CDT / 1pm EDT.
This seems to include the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
A recent Steam Store update seems to have confirmed that cross-platform play will be available to PC players for the first time in the series, so it could be ready at launch.

If you spend $110 on the Premium Edition instead of the standard $70, players will get one week of early access to the game, Kombat Pack 1, new characters, and a September 14th release date, plus in-game currency. You can also get 1,250 Dragon Crystals. .
The Collector’s Edition of MK1 is $250 and includes premium content, plus a 16.5-inch tall Liu Kang statue, exclusive Liu Kang costume colors, steelbook case, and 2,700 Dragon Crystals.
These store updates also provide more information about what Dragon Crystals are used for, with the official description including cosmetics such as skins, colors, and gear, as well as the potential for taunts and brutality. It says that you can buy certain things.

MK1’s Kombat Pack 1 features playable characters Ermac, Quan Chi, Takeda, Invincible’s Omni-Man, The Boys’ Homelander, and DC’s Peacemaker, as well as five new cameo fighters and Johnny Cage’s Jean. -Claude Van Damme skin included.
Anyone who pre-orders the game will also receive Shang Tsung as an additional roster member.
The official release date for Mortal Kombat 1 is September 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Stay tuned for more coverage as the big release approaches soon.
