A family’s dream Christmas vacation, which they had been planning since 2020, was severely compromised when the planning director’s grandparents mixed up Disney tickets with a gift card for the Disney+ streaming service.
Andy Coston, a 41-year-old social worker, took to his TikTok page to share a viral video that has been viewed 3.2 million times, revealing how the Christmas holidays are in serious jeopardy.
“My parents were planning a big family vacation in 2020, and then the pandemic happened,” she began the video.

Andy further explained: “We finally made plans for Christmas this year. All 16 members of our family are going. To save money, my parents bought him 10,000 Disney gift cards for tickets and restaurant reservations. Did.”
When Andy returned home to live with his 78-year-old parents last weekend, he noticed problems loading gift cards and purchasing tickets to Disney parks in Florida, USA.

The social worker went on to cut a shot on TikTok showing a huge stack of Disney Plus cards worth $100 each. “Yeah. We have his 10,000 on his Disney Plus streaming service,” Andy said. “That’s over 70 years of Disney+ history,” she added.
Disney Plus is an American subscription video-on-demand over-the-top streaming media service owned and operated by Disney Streaming. So a gift card for a streaming service is not the same as a ticket to get into a physical Disney theme park.
“We’ve finally made plans for Christmas this year. All 16 of our family members are going,” Andy said, explaining that he had been waiting for this holiday since 2020.

Andy complained: “I need help. It’s not about the money! It’s about getting the money in the right way. I’m leaving in six days, and it’s Christmas, so the park tickets are sold out.
“My mom was distraught, my dad was frustrated, and my kids were worried they wouldn’t be able to go to Disney. Does anyone know anyone who can help?!”
The concerned mother went on to criticize Disney’s marketing design, saying, “Gift cards need to be redesigned to more clearly differentiate them.”
