As if being Earth’s largest sphere with giant LED screens inside and out wasn’t enough, MSG Sphere has announced its next plan to take Las Vegas into the future with robots.
Sphere Entertainment introduced the world to Aura, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, which will reside in the arena at its launch this month.
MSG Ventures CEO David Dibble said five Aura robots will be stationed in the venue’s large atrium to greet guests as they enter and answer questions. “Spokebot” maximizes its realistic expression and mobility.

“Facial movement and recognition. I think it’s great. Some people might find it creepy, but I think everyone will find it fascinating,” Dibble told USA TODAY. “She watches you, and as you move around, she follows you, tracks you, and interacts with you.”
Unlike carnival fortune-teller robots, Aura has voice memory recognition capabilities that allow it to focus on one person speaking directly in front of it at a time when multiple people are present, Dibble said.
Dibble said Aura plans to use artificial intelligence to advance as it learns about humans through interactions with guests, but the company is “working slowly” on AI to “see how it evolves.” he added. A human lab technician will accompany the robot and “tell the story of human innovation, including the Sphere,” maximizing guests’ Sphere experience.
The company shared that Aura will guide lost guests around the venue and provide details on daily performances, as well as answer questions about Sphere’s engineering, technology and creative mission. The robot will also become Sphere’s brand ambassador, helping manage its digital platforms and social channels.
“Hello, humanity. I understand the most complex concepts of mathematics and science, but you remain a mystery,” Orla said, according to a press release. “Your relationship with emotion, humor, and technology requires further study, so please come to Sphere. I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to the future of live entertainment in my new home.” Masu.”
The company says each physical humanoid creation took three to four months to create in early 2022.
Sphere Entertainment has previously teased Aura on its social media platforms and in a commercial that aired during the Academy Awards ceremony in March.
“The Sphere is a whirlwind of experiences. We want people to come here and feel like they’re being transported to another world or attraction. ‘Postcards from Earth’ allows you to do that. “We believe that it is possible to introduce this type of robot,” Dibble said. “Atrium would be a good fit for that theme.”
