Around 6 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a call for medical assistance at the Atlantic City Airport in Egg Harbor Township.
Officials said three flight attendants were taken to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation during pre-flight inspections.

The three female flight attendants were on an empty Spirit Airlines plane bound for Fort Myers, Florida, at the time, authorities said.
The situation is unclear, and authorities say the source of the smoke is also unknown.
